Nikkei turns positive as laggards rebound

TOKYO, May 30 (Reuters) - The Nikkei share average turned positive soon after the start of trade on Wednesday as investors turned to shares of some laggards such as Fast Retailing Co. Ltd. (9983.T) and Takeda Pharmaceutical Co. Ltd. (4502.T).

The Nikkei .N225 was up 0.31 percent at 17,727.17 as of 0008 GMT, having opened slightly down.

The TOPIX was up 0.44 percent at 1,745.63.
