Nikkei opens flat, exporters edge up on steady yen

TOKYO, June 2 (Reuters) - Japan's Nikkei stock average opened flat on Monday, with gains by exporters such as Sony Corp (6758.T) on a relatively steady yen offset by falls in property shares.

As of 0002 GMT, the benchmark Nikkei average .N225 was up 5.76 points at 14,344.30. The broader Topix index was also flat, at 1,408.32. (Reporting by Taiga Uranaka)
