TOKYO, July 7 (Reuters) - Bank of Japan Governor Masaaki Shirakawa on Monday reiterated that Japan's economic growth is slowing on high energy and raw materials prices but is expected to return to a moderate growth path after a period of slowdown.

"Corporate profits have been decreasing recently on worsening terms of trade, while growth in capital expenditure is slowing," Shirakawa said in a speech to a meeting of the central bank's regional branch managers. (Reporting by Leika Kihara; Editing by Chris Gallagher)
