American Airlines: TPG may invest in JAL

TOKYO, Nov 11 (Reuters) - AMR Corp (AMR.N), the parent of American Airlines, said that private equity giant TPG Capital [TPG.UL] may also invest in Japan Airlines Corp (9205.T).

Any investment by TPG would be contingent upon approval by JAL and the government, AMR Chief Financial Officer Tom Horton told a group of reporters.
