HAKODATE, Japan, May 31 (Reuters) - Bank of Japan board member Kiyohiko Nishimura said on Thursday the nation's consumer price index is likely to rise more clearly in the October-March second half of this fiscal year and in next fiscal year.

"This view is not that different from views of many in markets," Nishimura he said in a speech to business leaders in the northern Japan city of Hakodate.

He said the CPI was likely to stay around zero for the time being.

Nishimura also said there is a risk that low interest rates could distort fund flows and asset allocation, but that risk was not imminent and it was not desirable to stress it too much.
