G7 finmins to meet on Feb 9 - Japan's Nukaga

TOKYO, Dec 28 (Reuters) - Japan will host a meeting of Group of Seven finance ministers and central bankers on Feb. 9, Finance Minister Fukushiro Nukaga said on Friday.

The meeting is expected to discuss the subprime mortgage problem, high oil prices and the world economy, he told a news conference.

Nukaga said the G7 planned to invite other countries to the February meeting but no decision had been made on which countries to invite or what topics would be discussed Japan will host a G8 leaders' summit in July. (Reporting by Yoko Nishikawa)
