TOKYO, Nov 30 (Reuters) - Japanese Finance Minister Hirohisa Fujii said on Monday that he has never said intervention in currency markets was impossible, denying a media report that he had said so the previous day.

"That's a lie. I never said such a thing," Fujii told reporters in the Finance Ministry, when asked about the report.

Japan's Mainichi daily said on Monday that Fujii told reporters on Sunday intervention in currency markets "would not happen at this stage" and that now is a time to monitor markets.
