Taiwan's Cathay Fin posts Q2 net profit of T$586 mln

TAIPEI, July 10 (Reuters) - Cathay Financial (2882.TW), Taiwan's top listed financial holding company, said on Friday it had a net profit of T$586 million ($18 million) in the second quarter.

The second quarter net profit was based on Reuters' calculation after Cathay announced in a statement that its first-half net profit was T$5.6 billion, compared with a net loss of T$2.18 billion during the same period a year earlier.
