Jordan Ladd and Sally Kellerman also will star in the project, centering on a reporter (Ladd) sent to an Illinois town to write a fluff piece on the local wishing well, which ends up having an impact on her life. Borgnine plays a local innkeeper and Kellerman a waitress/unofficial town therapist.

"The Wishing Well" will premiere next September.

Borgnine, 91, earned a Golden Globe nomination this year for his role in the Hallmark movie "A Grandpa for Christmas."
