Fortis shares suspended pending statement on assets

BRUSSELS (Reuters) - Trading in Belgian financial services group Fortis (FOR.BR) (FOR.AS) was suspended on Tuesday pending a statement, a spokesman for Belgian market regulator CBFA said.

Deals

"Fortis is suspended until the company makes a statement about 1200 (6:00 a.m. EDT)," the spokesman said.

"We expect the statement to contain details on the assets belonging to Fortis Group," he added.
