James Taylor schedules concerts for Obama

NEW YORK (Billboard) - Singer-songwriter James Taylor will play five shows in North Carolina in support of Democratic presidential nominee Barack Obama.

Taylor will perform Sunday (October 19) in Charlotte and Asheville, Monday in Chapel Hill and Tuesday in Raleigh and Wilmington.

Taylor grew up in Chapel Hill while his father served as the dean of the University of North Carolina School of Medicine.
