SARAJEVO (Reuters Life!) - A Bosnian clothes-maker has offered a new line of suits for men under the label "Obama," inspired by U.S. President-elect Barack Obama.

Lifestyle

"We launched the new line of man suits Obama as part of the autumn 2008 collection last month," said Ahmet Curic, executive development manager for garment producer Borac, which is based in the central Bosnian town of Travnik.

Curic said that although his designers did not know who would win the election when they launched the label, they still liked the name.

"We choose the names for our lines after something or somebody that we expect to be in the limelight," Curic told Reuters by telephone. "The name Obama rings well, people like it."

Curic said the Obama line was selling well in Bosnia, Croatia and Slovenia.

Borac is Bosnia's oldest garment producer, working with known European clothing companies and designers such as Hugo Boss, Karl Gross and Pierre Cardin.
