No Obama Cabinet announcements this week: aide

CHICAGO (Reuters) - U.S. President-elect Barack Obama will not make any Cabinet announcements this week, a spokeswoman said on Monday.

Financial markets, which are struggling in a global credit crisis, are awaiting news of Obama's appointments for key jobs such as Treasury Secretary. He said on Friday he planned to unveil key appointments soon but did not give details.

"No Cabinet announcements this week," Stephanie Cutter, a spokeswoman for the Obama transition team, told Reuters.
