Sen. Stabenow says final amount of auto bailout being negotiated

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Michigan Sen. Debbie Stabenow, a Democrat, on Friday said the U.S. auto bailout proposal in the Senate is $25 billion now but the final amount is being negotiated.

Stabenow also said the auto bailout proponents need 12 Republican votes in Senate, virtually all Senate Democrats back plan.
