Knicks' Mobley, Thomas for Randolph made official

NEW YORK (Reuters) - The New York Knicks trade of Zach Randolph to the Los Angeles Clippers for Cuttino Mobley and Tim Thomas was made official on Tuesday, the NBA team said prior to their game against the Cleveland Cavaliers.

Thomas was expected to play against Cleveland but not Mobley, who had undergone further physical examinations leading to a delay in finalizing the deal that was announced on Friday.

A Knicks official would not comment further on Mobley, saying the team was awaiting further results of medical tests on the 33-year-old guard, who was believed to have been checked for a heart condition.

The unspecified condition had not affected Mobley's playing time as the guard started all 11 games while with the Clippers, averaging 33.2 minutes a game and 13.7 points, including a 23-point effort in his last game at Oklahoma City.

The Knicks, who have been playing short-handed since making the deal, will have another new face on the court on Tuesday.

Forward Al Harrington will play after joining New York in a separate deal that sent guard Jamal Crawford to Golden State.

"I know I'm going to be nervous," said Harrington, who grew up across the Hudson River in New Jersey. "But once I get my first bucket, my first rebound, everything will calm down."
