    Men's alpine skiing super-combined event called off

    BEAVER CREEK, Colorado

    BEAVER CREEK, Colorado (Reuters) - A men's World Cup alpine skiing super-combined event scheduled to take place at Beaver Creek on Thursday has been called off because of bad weather, organizers said.

    Snowfalls and wind made it impossible to stage the event, one of four scheduled over the weekend at the American ski resort.

    It was not immediately clear whether the race would be rescheduled at a later date or simply canceled.
