    MSNBC promotes "pimped out" anchor

NEW YORK (Hollywood Reporter) - MSNBC anchor David Shuster, who got into trouble earlier this year for saying Chelsea Clinton had been "pimped out" by her mother's presidential campaign, will take the helm of "1600 Pennsylvania Avenue," the nightly news program on politics and Washington news.

He will replace David Gregory, who left the show created earlier this year to become moderator of "Meet the Press" at broadcast sibling NBC.

Shuster has been an anchor at MSNBC for six years. After his "pimped out" aside, he apologized and was suspended. In addition to "1600 Pennsylvania Avenue," Schuster will be an anchor and reporter on the news channel. He began his career for CNN as an assignment editor and field producer.
