"King" James nets 55 points in Cavs' win over Bucks

MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin (Reuters) - LeBron James scorched the Milwaukee Bucks with a season-high 55 points in the Cleveland Cavaliers' 111-103 road victory on Friday.

It was James' seventh career 50-point game and his second of the season after hitting 52 against the New York Knicks at Madison Square Garden earlier this month.

James tallied 24 points in the third quarter alone when he knocked down five 3-pointers to help the Cavaliers take control with a 35-25 advantage in the period.

"Once I started to get it going ... whew!" James told reporters.

The 6-foot-8 forward, last year's NBA leading scorer, added nine assists and five rebounds as Cleveland improved to 42-11 to claim the best winning percentage in the Eastern Conference.

"What an unbelievable performance by LeBron," gushed Cleveland coach Mike Brown. "I've been around him for four years now and I get amazed at some of the things he does. That was spectacular."
