Cubs outfielder Bradley suspended for two games
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Chicago Cubs outfielder Milton Bradley has been suspended for two games for bumping an umpire while arguing, Major League Baseball said Saturday.
Bradley "aggressively argued balls and strikes and made contact with umpire Larry Vanover," during thee Cubs' 7-4 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals on Thursday, Bob Watson, baseball's vice president of on-field operations, said in a statement.
The outfielder was also fined an undisclosed amount, Watson said, adding that since Bradley is appealing his suspension, he will continue to play until the process is complete.
