Bradley "aggressively argued balls and strikes and made contact with umpire Larry Vanover," during thee Cubs' 7-4 loss to the St. Louis Cardinals on Thursday, Bob Watson, baseball's vice president of on-field operations, said in a statement.

The outfielder was also fined an undisclosed amount, Watson said, adding that since Bradley is appealing his suspension, he will continue to play until the process is complete.
