Olivia Williams, Toby Jones, Mackenzie Crook and Noel Clarke also have signed on to director Mat Whitecross' film, which stars Andy Serkis as the singer-songwriter, who died in 2000.

Crippled by polio at age 10 and told he would amount to nothing, Dury went on to become one of the founders of the British punk movement in the 1970s, producing a string of hits including "Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll."

Harris has signed to play Dury's girlfriend, and Winstone will play the singer's father.

    Paul Viragh wrote the script.
