Adelman, McMillan and Rivers fined for criticizing officials

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Three head coaches were fined by the National Basketball Association on Tuesday for publicly criticizing game officials during the NBA playoff series.

Rick Adelman of the Houston Rockets, Portland Trail Blazers' Nate McMillan and Boston Celtics' Doc Rivers were each penalized $25,000, the NBA said in a statement.

Adelman and McMillan were fined for comments made after Houston wins in the first-round playoff with the Trail Blazers.

Rivers was taken to task over comments he made after a 121-118 Game Four loss to the Chicago Bulls.
