The Cowboys' official fan club website, True Blue, said special teams coordinator Joe DeCamillis was taken from the scene on a stretcher with a head injury and that nine other members of the team's staff were hurt. Other local media said up to seven people were hurt.

Twenty-seven rookie players were reported to be practicing at the time in the facility, which was a large tent-like structure supported by scaffolding. Local media quoted team officials as saying all players and coaches were accounted for.

Team officials and police in Irving, Texas, where the practice facility is located could not be reached for comment.

The area was under a tornado watch into the early evening as lashing rains and high winds rolled through.
