Macquarie shares fall 8.7 percent after fund raising
SYDNEY (Reuters) - Shares in Macquarie Group Ltd (MQG.AX) fell as much as 8.7 percent on Monday after it completed a A$540 million ($400 million) capital raising, selling new shares at a 20 percent discount to its last traded price.
By 0007 GMT (8:07 p.m. EDT), Macquarie shares were down 8.5 percent at A$30.62, compared with 0.9 percent rise in the benchmark index .AXJO.
