Clinton unsure about more U.S. sanctions on Iran

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. Secretary of State Hillary Clinton said on Wednesday she was not sure about the utility of imposing more bilateral U.S. sanctions on Iran if Washington's diplomatic effort to engage Tehran to curb its nuclear ambitions fails.

Speaking at a congressional hearing, Clinton said that if the U.S. diplomatic effort does not bear fruit, multilateral sanctions against Iran may be more effective.
