Roadside Attractions has acquired U.S. rights to the independent film and plans to release it in early 2010.

"These are two larger-than-life performances from Parker Posey and Demi Moore as sisters who have a love-hate relationship," Roadside company president Howard Cohen said.

An actor turned writer-director, the filmmaker -- whose previous film was the 2007 horror comedy "Teeth" -- is the son of painter Roy Lichtenstein.
