Moody's affirms U.S. AAA rating despite rising debt
NEW YORK (Reuters) - Moody's Investors Service on Wednesday affirmed the AAA credit rating of the United States, assuaging fears about U.S. creditworthiness that have been creeping up in financial markets.
The rating agency said the U.S. economy's long-term resilience and key role in global affairs should bolster its ability to resume a strong performance following the current recession.
