Obama: Slower job losses an encouraging sign
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Barack Obama said on Monday that even though he remains concerned about the economy's health, it was encouraging that the latest jobs report showed a slower pace of cuts.
The Labor Department said U.S. employers cut 345,000 jobs in May, the fewest since September. Obama said it was "a sign that we're moving in the right direction."
