CIT Group shares climb after market open

NEW YORK (Reuters) - CIT Group Inc (CIT.N) shares rose 44 percent to 59 cents after the open on Friday after traders in the U.S. Treasury bond market said there was speculation of a buyer for the struggling lender.

Hot Stocks

Treasury bond prices were pressured in part by the speculation surrounding CIT Group.

The company could not be reached for comment.
