Obama calls for quick release of Suu Kyi

WASHINGTON (Reuters) - U.S. President Barack Obama condemned Myanmar on Tuesday for convicting and sentencing opposition leader Aung San Suu Kyi and called for her "immediate unconditional release."

Obama also said in a statement he was concerned about the seven year sentence given to American citizen John Yettaw, who swam to her lakeside home in May and stayed there uninvited for two days.
