Spectrum Pharma drops after FDA response

NEW YORK (Reuters) - Spectrum Pharmaceuticals Inc (SPPI.O) shares tumbled 13 percent to $5.40 in premarket trade on Friday after the company received a complete response letter from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration regarding its supplemental new drug application for its advanced metastatic colorectal cancer treatment Fusilev.

The letter stated Fusilev did not demonstrate that the treatment is non-inferior to leucovorin.
