Grizzlies sign veteran guard Tinsley
NEW YORK (Reuters) - The Memphis Grizzlies, who are short a player with Allen Iverson taking personal leave, have signed free agent guard Jamaal Tinsley, the NBA team said on Saturday.
Tinsley, 31, who averaged a career-high 8.4 assists in 39 games with the Indiana Pacers in 2007-08, his last season in the NBA before he was released by the team in July.
"We are pleased to add a veteran playmaker with Jamaal's credentials to the team," Grizzlies general manager Chris Wallace said in a statement. "He will add experience and high-level passing ability."
