Iran using tricks on nuclear program: German ForMin

BERLIN

BERLIN (Reuters) - Iran has been using delaying tactics instead of taking action to resolve the dispute over its nuclear program, German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle said on Friday.

Westerwelle told Deutschlandfunk radio that Iran would be judged by its actions and not by its words, and that only a serious return to negotiations would prevent further measures such as sanctions being imposed on the Islamic Republic.

"For the past two years Iran has repeatedly bluffed and played tricks," Westerwelle said.

"It has played for time and of course we in the international community cannot accept a nuclear-armed Iran."

Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad said on Tuesday his country was ready to send low-enriched uranium (LEU) abroad to be converted into fuel for a Tehran nuclear medicine reactor to show its nuclear aims were purely peaceful.

On Thursday, China said this signaled a shift in Iran's position which meant it was worth continuing negotiations rather than discussing broader sanctions against Tehran.

But diplomats said Iran had not conveyed any change in its stance to the U.N.'s International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA).

"A nuclear armed Iran would not only be a threat for the countries in the region, it would above all preoccupy the international community and threaten stability with a nuclear arms race," Westerwelle said.

Westerwelle will meet his Russian counterpart Sergei Lavrov later on Friday, before heading to the three-day Munich Security Conference where he will join top European and U.S. diplomats discussing global defense and security issues.

"Of course we will talk about this in Munich, and if Iran brings new proposals to the table, then we will also talk about them. But actions must follow," he said.

This is ridiculous. US government deliberately provoked us by stirring up the “Taiwan issue” just one week ago, which drive every single Chinese crazy, and now US government want us to cooperate for sanctions against Iran. Your guys must think we are dummy. Just reading those blogs and comments in all of those Chinese websites right now. People are still mad!

You guys can’t beat Taliban so that you want to negotiate with Taliban; Taliban said NO and we want to drive you out of Afghan completely. You can’t catch Bin-ladian after all those years fight and he is still hiding in the dark and ready to bite. You can’t conquer Iraq people’s mind and they hate your guys passionately. You can’t beat Russia and Russia is fighting back. Russia will take back Ukraine this weekend after Ukraine election! Russian will have complete control of Black Sea and dominate East Europe again. You didn’t win the cold war at all. Soviet Union Empire is coming back! You can’t stop Iran’s nuclear ambition. Iran is still there and alive with nuclear bomb! You can’t beat German and Japan economically. They are much smaller than your country, but they are superior than your guys in many sectors of economy.

What shame, “Superpower”. You don’t have manhood and guts to fight or challenge those countries. Instead, you want to hurt and fight us, Chinese people who have been nice to your guys for many years and who have helped you to pull out of your miserable economic recession. You know something, you break our heart. God will punish you for your unkindness, unfairness, extremely selfish and injustice. God actually is punishing you right now. God will punish you much harder down the road.

We don’t respect you any more. You deserve what you get.

@stupidchinesekid, try reading the article next time, it’s about Germany not the States. If you want to complain about the States go to one of the forum websites in China to do that, oops wait, they are all blocked from your government, what a shame.
