U.S. says "can't imagine" lifting embargo on Cuba
WASHINGTON (Reuters) - The United States is unlikely to soon lift a trade embargo on Cuba, Deputy Secretary of State John Negroponte said on Tuesday after Cuban revolutionary leader Fidel Castro resigned as president.
"I can't imagine that happening any time soon," Negroponte told reporters in response to a question on whether the U.S. embargo could be lifted.
