Obama says financial crisis result of Bush policies

OXFORD, Miss., Sept 26 (Reuters) - Democratic presidential candidate Barack Obama opened his first debate with Republican John McCain on Friday by charging that the Wall Street financial crisis is the "final verdict" on policies pushed by President George W. Bush and backed by McCain.

"We have to move swiftly and we have to move wisely," said Obama, who spoke first at the debate at the University of Mississippi.
