FORT MYERS, Fla., Feb 10 (Reuters) - U.S. President Barack Obama has ordered an interagency review to examine U.S. policy on Afghanistan and Pakistan ahead of the NATO summit in April, the White House said on Tuesday.

"The president has asked Bruce Riedel to chair an interagency policy review on U.S. policy toward Afghanistan and Pakistan to be completed before the NATO summit," White House spokesman Robert Gibbs told reporters as Obama flew to Florida for an event to push his case for an economic stimulus package.

Riedel, a former CIA officer, is a senior fellow at the Saban Center for Middle East Policy at the Brookings Institution think tank in Washington.
