WASHINGTON, May 1 (Reuters) - Company studies show GlaxoSmithKline Plc's (GSK.L)(GSK.N) high-dose Advair can reduce chronic obstructive pulmonary disease flare-ups, a U.S. advisory panel said in an 11-0 vote on Tuesday.

The U.S. Food and Drug Administration panel of outside experts earlier said data on Advair 500/50 did not show the drug helped COPD patients live longer.
