Pelosi praises proposed financial firm fee
WASHINGTON |
WASHINGTON Jan 14 (Reuters) - U.S. House of Representatives Speaker Nancy Pelosi on Thursday said that President Barack Obama's proposal to levy fees on bailed-out financial firms will help ensure that taxpayers recoup their money.
In a statement, Pelosi also said the fee would "help discourge Wall Street from taking excessive risks at the expense of Main Street."
