Zimbabwe violence declining, attorney general says

HARARE, May 23 (Reuters) - Violence that followed Zimbabwe’s disputed March elections has started to decline throughout the country, acting Attorney General Bharat Patel was quoted as saying by state media on Friday.

"From the feedback received by the Attorney General’s Office, it would appear that the scale and occurrence of public violence has begun to abate throughout the country," Patel said in a report published by the state-owned Herald newspaper.
