UCB says Keppra XR epilepsy drug approved in U.S.

Refiles to remove duplicated reference to "expected", para 2

BRUSSELS, Sept 15 (Reuters) - Belgian pharmaceutical group UCB (UCB.BR) said on Monday that U.S. health authorities had approved the use of Keppra XR as an add-on treatment for adults with partial onset epilepsy seizures.

The Belgian company said it expected Keppra XR, the extended release tablet version of its blockbuster Keppra, to be available in U.S. pharmacies at the end of September. (Reporting by Philip Blenkinsop)
