ING to Hire Two Former ABN Investment Bankers
AMSTERDAM (Reuters) - ING Wholesale Banking, part of Dutch financial services group ING Group NV (ING.AS)(ING.N) said on Tuesday it had hired two senior investment bankers from Dutch rival ABN AMRO AAH.AS, which has been bought by three banks.
ING Wholesale Banking, the corporate and investment banking division of ING Group, said in a statement it will employ Gerbrand ter Brugge, formerly head of Dutch and continental European equities at ABN, as head of equities Benelux on April 1.
The ING unit said it will also employ Maurits Duynstee, previously managing director corporate finance with ABN AMRO, as head of corporate finance for the Netherlands on April 1.
ABN AMRO was bought last October for 70 billion euros by Royal Bank of Scotland (RBS.L), Belgian-Dutch financial services group Fortis (FOR.BR)(FOR.AS), and Spanish bank Santander (SAN.MC).
