Vienna stocks slump 8 pct as banking woes spread

VIENNA, Oct 6 (Reuters) - Vienna's stock exchange slumped over 8 percent in early trade on Monday, led by financial stocks, as concern about the global banking system spread across European markets.

Top losers in Austria were Erste Bank (ERST.VI), down 12.6 percent, and Raiffeisen International (RIBH.VI) down 10.7 percent. There were no stocks in positive territory.
