Delek second-quarter profit rises

NEW YORK, Aug 7 (Reuters) - Delek US Holdings Inc. (DK.N) said on Tuesday its second quarter profit rose, helped by higher sales.

Net income in the quarter rose to $67.2 million, or $1.29 a share, from $42.2 million, or 88 cents a share, in the year-ago quarter.

Analysts had on average expected a profit of $1.22 per share, according to Reuters Estimates.

Brentwood, Tennessee-based Delek said quarterly net sales grew to $1.1 billion from $819.6 million in the same quarter a year ago.
