Microsoft to buy group chat firm Parlano

NEW YORK, Aug 29 (Reuters) - Microsoft Corp (MSFT.O) said on Wednesday it agreed to buy Parlano, a company that makes the MindAlign online group chat application, for an undisclosed amount.

Microsoft said it expects to add Parlano's group chat function as a new feature of its latest software for groups to send instant messages, hold conferences and talk over the Internet. The deal is expected to close in the fourth quarter.
