Quiksilver posts net loss in third quarter
ATLANTA, Dec 6 (Reuters) - Youth apparel company Delia's Inc. (DLIA.O) reported higher third-quarter earnings on Wednesday as weekly sales at stores open at least a year turned positive beginning in September.
The company said earnings were $3.3 million, or 11 cents a diluted share, compared with profit of $1.7 million, or 6 cents a share, in the year-ago quarter.
Delia's was spun off from media and marketing services company Alloy Inc. ALOYE.O in December. The company sells clothes, accessories, footwear and room furnishings to teen girls through catalogues, Web sites and mall-based stores.
