Methanex third-quarter profit falls sharply

NEW YORK, Oct 24 (Reuters) - Methanol producer Methanex Corp (MX.TO) reported sharply lower net income on Tuesday, hurt by lower production in Chile.

Net income for the third quarter ended Sept. 30 was $23.6 million, or 24 cents per share, compared to $113.2 million, or $1.05 per share, a year ago.
