U.S. sues to undo Microsemi buy of Semicoa assets

WASHINGTON, Dec 18 (Reuters) - The U.S. Justice Department sued Microsemi Corp (MSCC.O) on Thursday, seeking to reverse its acquisition of semiconductor assets from Semicoa Inc.

The department said in a statement the deal had reduced competition in markets for semiconductors used in military and space programs, and enabled Microsemi to selectively raise prices to customers. (Reporting by Randall Mikkelsen; Editing by Tim Dobbyn)
