Hitachi says 'no decision' on LCD panel tie-up

NEW YORK, Dec 18 (Reuters) - Japan's Hitachi Ltd (6501.T) said on Tuesday no decision has been made on a comprehensive tie-up in the liquid crystal display panel business.

Hitachi said it was commenting after articles suggested such a tie-up with Matsushita Electric Industrial Co, Ltd (6752.T) and Canon Inc (7751.T). (Reporting by Nick Zieminski; Editing by Gary Hill)
