IBM acquires Israel-based XIV for undisclosed sum
NEW YORK, Jan 2 (Reuters) - International Business Machines (IBM) Corp. (IBM.N) said on Wednesday it had acquired XIV, a privately held storage technology company based in Tel Aviv, Israel.
Financial terms were not disclosed. IBM said the acquisition would strengthen its infrastructure portfolio and boost its position in emerging storage opportunities. (Reporting by Ritsuko Ando; editing by Sue Thomas)
