Limelight Networks says to appeal Akamai patent case

NEW YORK, Feb 29 (Reuters) - Limelight Networks Inc (LLNW.O) plans to appeal a jury ruling in a patent case brought by rival Akamai Technologies Inc (AKAM.O), Paul Alfieri, a spokesman for Limelight said on Friday.

Akamai, a Web content delivery company, said earlier in the day that a jury had awarded it $45.5 million after ruling for it in a patent infringement case against Limelight. (Reporting by Sinead Carew, editing by Leslie Gevirtz)
