NEW YORK (Reuters) - Media conglomerate Time Warner Inc said on Monday it has no agenda regarding buying General Electric Co's NBC Universal but it would consider the matter if the unit came up for sale.

"We don't need to or have a particular agenda with regard to those networks," Time Warner Chief Executive Jeffrey Bewkes said in response to a question at a Deutsche Bank media and telecom conference. "We'd have to look at that if and when it came up."

GE said earlier this year its NBC Universal division was not up for sale. But in recent weeks, speculation about such a move has been rekindled, according to a Newsweek report.
